LoFi CBD Oil

LoFi CBD Oil is a full spectrum CBD tincture made from raw hemp extract and an MCT carrier oil. LoFi uses traditional alcohol-based extraction and winterization processes to formulate their tinctures allowing for the naturally-occurring minor cannabinoids and terpenes of the plant to remain present in the final product. It is available in two concentrations, 1500mg and 2500mg.

Vitality CBD Oil

Vitality CBD Oil is a complete spectrum CBD tincture that is bioengineered using nano-CBD technology in organic hemp seed oil. The formula includes proven synergistic terpene profiles, each targeting a specific result such as pain relief, sleep promotion, immune boosting and more. Vitality CBD also offer their V3 advanced line of tinctures that promote the synergistic effects of combining CBD with CBG and CBN. V3 Complete Cannabinoid tinctures are available in 1500mg, 3000mg and 6000mg formulations.

What’s the difference

Both naturally extracted full spectrum CBD oil like LoFi CBD Oil and bioengineered CBD oil like Vitality CBD Oil have their own advantages and disadvantages.

The advantages of naturally extracted full spectrum CBD oil include:

  1. Authenticity: Naturally extracted CBD is derived from the hemp plants, which provides a sense of authenticity and “closeness to nature.”
  2. Natural synergistic effects: Naturally extracted CBD often contains a complex mixture of compounds, including vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which can work together to produce synergistic effects that are not seen when the same compounds are taken in isolation.
  3. Tradition: Natural extracts have been used for medicinal purposes for centuries, and many people prefer to use these remedies based on traditional knowledge and cultural practices.

The advantages of bioengineered CBD oil include:

  1. Consistency: Bioengineered CBD is made in controlled laboratory conditions, which ensures that the product is consistent in terms of potency, purity, and composition each time.
  2. Customization: Bioengineered CBD can be tailored to specific needs and requirements. For example, bioengineered CBD can be formulated to contain higher levels of a specific ingredient or a more bioavailable form of an ingredient.
  3. Tailored synergistic effects: Bioengineered CBD can design an optimal synergistic effect using only the ingredients necessary for a result without unwanted by-products
  4. Safety: Bioengineered CBD is subject to strict quality control and regulatory standards, which helps to ensure that they are safe for human consumption.

The disadvantages of naturally extracted full spectrum CBD oil include:

Variability – Full spectrum CBD oil can be inconsistent in terms of potency and composition because it is extracted from natural sources that vary due to differences in crops and farming conditions.

Contaminants – Natural sources of CBD oil can sometimes contain contaminants, such as heavy metals or pesticides, which can pose health risks if consumed.

Inferior Bioavailability – Naturally extracted full spectrum oils contain CBD molecules natural format, these larger molecules are subject to denaturation when ingested which reduces efficacy by as much as 85% naturally.

THC Effects – Full spectrum CBD oil often contains trace amounts of THC, the psychoactive compound found in marijuana, which can pose both unwanted narcotic effects as well as legal concerns in some countries or states where THC is deemed illegal.

The disadvantages of bioengineered CBD oil include:

Perceived Artificial –  Some people may be hesitant to use a bioengineered product, preferring instead to use a natural extract.

Entourage Effect – Some bioengineered CBD oils that only contain CBD isolate without the addition of other compounds found in the plant, can result in a lack of the synergistic or entourage effects that are seen with full spectrum CBD oil.

Cost Prohibitive – Bioengineered CBD oil can be more expensive to produce than full spectrum CBD oil and this added cost can dramatically raise the price of the product.

It’s important to note that both full spectrum CBD oil and bioengineered CBD oil can be effective, and the best choice will depend on an individual’s specific needs and preferences. Some people may prefer the natural extract because of its authenticity and natural  synergistic effects, while others may prefer the consistency, purity and efficacy of bioengineered CBD oil. It’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional about each option before starting any new supplement regimen.

What’s the difference between the carrier oils?

Both LoFi CBD Oil and Vitality CBD Oil use an oil-based carrier for their tinctures. LoFi CBD Oil uses MCT oil and Vitality CBD Oil uses organic hemp seed oil. MCT oil and hemp seed oil are both healthy oils, but they have different properties and health benefits as well as different side effects.

Advantages of MCT Oil

Quick energy source – MCT oil is rapidly absorbed and converted into ketones, which can be used by the brain and muscles as an energy source. This makes it a popular choice for those following a ketogenic diet.

Improved athletic performance – MCT oil has been shown to increase endurance and reduce fatigue in athletes, making it a popular supplement for athletes and gym-goers.

Supports weight loss – MCT oil can help with weight loss by increasing feelings of fullness and boosting metabolism.

Supports brain function – MCT oil can also improve cognitive function, particularly in individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Common side effects of taking MCT oil include:

Upset stomach – MCT oil can cause digestive symptoms such as abdominal cramping, bloating, and diarrhea.

Allergic reactions – Some people may have an allergic reaction to MCT oil, which can cause symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, or difficulty breathing.

Interaction with medications – MCT oil can interact with certain medications, such as blood thinners and anticoagulants, so it is important to speak with your healthcare provider before taking MCT oil if you are taking any prescription medications.

Increased risk of heart disease – High levels of MCT oil in the diet have been associated with an increased risk of heart disease, particularly when it replaces other healthy fats such as olive oil or avocado oil.

It is important to speak with your healthcare provider before taking MCT oil, especially if you have a medical condition or are taking any medications. They can help you determine whether MCT oil is right for you and provide recommendations on dosage and usage.

Advantages of Hemp Seed Oil

Rich in nutrients – Hemp seed oil is rich in healthy fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6), vitamins, and minerals such as magnesium and potassium.

Anti-inflammatory – Hemp seed oil has anti-inflammatory properties, making it a good choice for individuals with chronic inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis.

Natural Synergy – Hemp seed oil is naturally synergistic with the cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids required for full effect as all originate from the hemp plant.

Supports heart health – Hemp seed oil is also good for heart health, as it contains high amounts of both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which have been shown to lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.

Side effects from hemp seed oil

Hemp seed oil is generally considered safe and well tolerated. However, like any dietary supplement, it can cause side effects in some people. Some of the most common side effects of taking hemp seed oil include:

Allergic reactions – Some people may have an allergic reaction to hemp seed oil, which can cause symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, or difficulty breathing.

Interaction with medications – Hemp seed oil can interact with certain medications if taken in large quantities, such as blood thinners and anticoagulants, so it is important to speak with your healthcare provider before taking hemp seed oil if you are taking any prescription medications.

It is important to speak with your healthcare provider before taking hemp seed oil, especially if you have a medical condition or are taking any medications. They can help you determine whether hemp seed oil is right for you and provide recommendations on dosage and usage.

Both MCT oil and hemp seed oil have their own unique benefits and side effects, and the choice between the two will depend on an individual’s specific goals.

Ultimately, when choosing your CBD tincture product, the choice between bioengineered and naturally extracted CBD oil tinctures comes down to personal preference and needs.
