Calculations happen in your browser. Product prices are entered by you, not taken from an outdated competitor-price table. A lower price per CBD milligram does not prove that products have identical ingredients or effects.
What is the difference between CBD strength and bottle size?
Strength describes how much CBD is present in a given amount of liquid. Bottle size describes how much liquid you receive. Divide the total CBD milligrams by the millilitres in the bottle to calculate concentration. For example, a bottle containing 1,500 mg of CBD in 30 mL has a concentration of 50 mg/mL. A 3,000 mg CBD bottle containing the same 30 mL has 100 mg/mL.
Those are arithmetic examples, not instructions to take one millilitre. A stronger oil lets the same CBD amount fit into a smaller volume. It does not mean you should automatically double the amount you take. Our CBD dosing planner keeps the amount per dose separate from the concentration of the bottle.
Compare price per 100 mg of CBD
The formula is simple: bottle price divided by total CBD milligrams, multiplied by 100. A hypothetical $30 bottle containing 1,500 mg of CBD costs $2 per 100 mg CBD. A hypothetical $50 bottle containing 3,000 mg CBD costs about $1.67 per 100 mg CBD. These examples explain the math; they are not current offers or a claim about another brand.
Use the same currency for both bottles. Decide whether your comparison includes shipping, tax and discounts, then apply that choice consistently. An introductory discount and an ongoing price are different comparisons. The calculator uses the amounts you enter and does not retrieve competitor prices or assume that an old article’s price is still available.
CBD is not the same as total cannabinoids
A product containing CBD, CBN and CBG may show a combined cannabinoid total. Use the CBD amount when comparing price per CBD milligram. For example, a blend containing 1,000 mg CBD, 1,000 mg CBN and 1,000 mg CBG contains 3,000 mg of combined cannabinoids, but only 1,000 mg of CBD. Entering the combined number as CBD would change the comparison by a factor of three.
Different ingredients can also mean different products. A CBD-only tincture and a three-cannabinoid blend are not interchangeable merely because the total number on the front label matches. The calculator deliberately does not assign a quality score or claim that a lower price per milligram produces a better outcome.
From a planned dose to a measurable volume
After an amount has been selected, divide the CBD milligrams per dose by the concentration in mg/mL. For illustration, 10 mg from a 50 mg/mL oil occupies 0.2 mL. The same 10 mg from a 100 mg/mL oil occupies 0.1 mL. Do not assume every dropper holds one millilitre or that every drop has the same volume.
Very small volumes need an appropriate graduated measuring device. The dosing planner warns when its result is below 0.1 mL so that measurement is not silently replaced with an unreliable drop count. For pets, use the separate veterinarian-directed dog dosing planner.
How long will a bottle last?
Divide the bottle’s total CBD amount by the total CBD amount used each day. For a purely numerical example, 1,500 mg divided by 20 mg per day gives 75 days. This is an estimated supply calculation, not a recommended daily dose. Missed doses, changes agreed with a professional, liquid left in the bottle and dispensing accuracy can change the real duration.
